To best suit the needs of your application, Cogan has developed 2 different column designs: Type 1 and Type 2.

-Column Type 1 uses a 4” structural I-beam upright with a 3” vertical arm adjustment. Ideal for medium- to heavy-duty loads.

-Column Type 2 uses a 5” structural I-beam upright with a 4” vertical arm adjustment. Ideal for medium-, heavy- and extra heavy-duty loads.

Cogan cantilever racks are available with several optional accessories, each designed to facilitate the loading and storing of material.

REMOVABLE AND FIXED STOPPER PINS:
Cogan cantilever racks feature four different types of stopper pins: removable or fixed stopper pins, welded arm stopper lips, and welded angle arm stoppers. Removable or fixed stopper pins are inserted at the end of each rack arm and base to keep materials from failing or rolling out of place. Arm stopper lips are welded to the end of each arm to provide fall protection. Angle arm stoppers are welded on top of each arm to keep materials centered on the arms.

BEAM SUPPORT:
Beam supports provide additional reinforcement for heavy or unevenly distributed loads. An optional mid-support beam may be required depending on shelf depth and the load capacity of stored materials.

SHELF OVERLAY OPTIONS:
Shelf overlays are fastened on top of the beam supports to create a smooth surface for storing smaller items. Choose between three decking options: wire mesh, steel plate or plywood. Wire mesh decking is ideal for fire-resistant applications. Steel plate decking offers a sleek, ultra-resilient finish. Plywood decking is our most affordable option and provides strong, versatile shelving.
