Cogan Shipping Services

At Cogan, we are committed to delivering your orders efficiently, securely, and cost-effectively. We offer a range of flexible shipping solutions designed to meet your operational requirements.

Option 1: Delivery – Transport Broker (Skidded shipments or over 150 lbs.)

For larger or palletized shipments, Cogan can coordinate transportation through our trusted freight broker network.

Once the order is ready, customers will receive detailed shipment information, including:

• Skid dimensions and weight
• Required handling equipment: flatbed or closed van
• Delivery address and contact details

Upon customer approval, Cogan will arrange transportation and coordinate delivery with the designated onsite contact to ensure a smooth process.

To enhance visibility and preparedness:

• Each skid is photographed before and after loading
• Shipping photos are shared upon pickup
• Customers can prepare appropriate unloading equipment and staging areas

Important: The complete delivery address must be confirmed no later than the approval drawing stage to ensure accuracy on all shipping labels and documentation.

Option 2: Delivery – Parcel Service (Shipments under 150 lbs. and 108" in length)

This service is ideal for small packages such as boxes, bundles, and light crates.

Cogan offers multiple service levels based on urgency:

• Standard
• Expedited
• Express

Tracking information will be provided once the shipment has been dispatched.

Important: The complete delivery address must be confirmed at the approval drawing stage to ensure accurate shipping documentation.

Option 3: Customer Pick-Up (Canada & USA)

Customers may choose to arrange their own transportation. Once the order is ready, Cogan will provide a shipment notification including:

• Skid dimensions and weight
• Recommended transport equipment: flatbed or closed van
• Delivery address and contact details
• Pickup location and shipping hours

A pickup appointment must be scheduled with Cogan's Transport Department with a minimum of 24 hours' notice.

For shipments to the United States, Cogan will supply the Commercial Invoice and required customs documentation.

Important: The complete delivery address must be confirmed no later than the approval drawing stage to ensure accuracy on all shipping labels and documentation.

Option 4: International Customer Pick-Up (Outside Canada & USA)

Customers arranging their own international transport will receive shipment details once the order is ready, including:

• Skid dimensions and weight
• Delivery address and contact information
• Pickup location and shipping hours

A pickup appointment must be scheduled with Cogan's Transport Department with a minimum of 24 hours' notice.

Cogan will provide the Commercial Invoice with packing list; however, the customer is responsible for all additional shipping and customs documentation.

Additional charges may apply for treated wood packaging and other specialized export packaging requirements.

Important: Delivery address confirmation is required at the approval drawing stage.

Disclaimer

It is the receiving party's responsibility to visually inspect the goods for any damage before accepting the order. Any damage must be indicated on the waybill. A damage claim cannot be filed without this information.

Customers must ensure that appropriate unloading equipment is available at the delivery site.

For transport broker delivery shipments:

• LTL deliveries: maximum 1 hour unloading time
• Full truckload deliveries: maximum 2 hours unloading time
• Additional waiting time charges will apply beyond these limits

The delivery of LTL shipments or even dedicated loads cannot be guaranteed. Cogan will work with the transport provider to meet a requested delivery time, but delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances beyond Cogan or the transport provider's control.

Cogan cannot be held responsible for delays in transport.

Cogan Packaging Services

Whether your order is travelling an ocean away or just around the corner, we'll make sure your material is packaged properly with all the information you need for trouble-free delivery. Here are the packaging services we provide:

Package #1: For an order to be split into sections (E.g. Part A-B-C)

Upon request, Cogan will provide a quote for an order to be separated and packaged in different sections. Engineering will provide approval drawing identifying the different sections and how they will be produced. All of the material for each section will be produced, packaged on separate skids and marked accordingly.

(E.g. Section #1 / Section #2 / Section #3)

Package #2: Extra protection of material (showroom / store)

This service is offered at quoting stage for material that will be presented to the public (i.e., tradeshow, showroom floor, retail store, where the product must be in optimal condition). Extra packing material will be used to reduce the risk of scratches that may occur during transit.
