Define the stored package

Preserve handling clearance

Measure the movement required to approach, lift and withdraw the load. Consider the material's full dimensions and the equipment used, not just the nominal rack aisle. Keep supports and accessories from interfering with the approved handling method.

Before ordering, review a drawing that shows both storage and retrieval. If the operation changes later, confirm the revised arrangement before modifying supports or accessories. Document the configuration so that replacements and future extensions are evaluated against the original design assumptions.

Can I lay an improvised shelf across the arms?

Have the supplier review any support surface or accessory. An improvised addition can change loading and handling conditions.

Does a shelf overlay increase capacity?

Not automatically. Capacity must be established for the complete approved assembly and load arrangement.

Can one design handle every sheet product?

Do not assume that. Different materials, pack sizes and picking methods can require different support details.
